Us.

the
difference
of fools & gold
between you and me
is in  how we
express
joy

as celebrations can take many days and more

the
difference
of gold & fools
between you and me
is in  how we
express
grief

you may wear black for many years or more

the
difference
of fools & gold
between you and me
is in  how we
express
us

  1. ^.^ Another difference between you and me is that I eat bread...the staff of life at least for me. Differences are what makes the world interesting! It's a good think that we're not all cut from the same mold. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

  2. Hi, cat!

This is a magnificent post, dear friend! Your poem about the difference in the ways people express joy and grief gave me food for thought, and the performance and conceptual video by the Australian band Dead Can Dance is awesome. DCD is new to me and so I was inspired to read about them. Their music falls into a variety of genres including Neoclassical dark wave, world music, ethereal wave, art rock, gothic rock, pagan rock and early post-punk. I know very little about these categories and have had little exposure to them. Thanks to you and your exciting post, I intend to do some exploring.

Have a wonderful weekend, dear friend cat!

  8. Another terrific poem, dear cat. Yes, we all have unique ways of expressing personal joy and grief. The problems begin when someone else judges those expressions because they think THEIR way is the only "right" way.

    Have a wonderful weekend!
