  1. Hahaha! I can relate. ☺ Our basement is full of boxes and other stuff - just in case. Thanks for the John Lee Hooker tune. Always amazing. ♥

  2. Hi, cat!

Thank you for spending some time in the Shady today, dear friend! I enjoyed listening to Hooker's brand of blues. As for collecting cardboard boxes and fitting one inside the other, I think most of us do that as we get older. I have moved (changed residence) more than 20 times in my life, and I want to be ready when it comes time to move again. Mrs. Shady has a very large family, 10 brothers and sisters (including half bros. & sisters), and we save our cartons to help various family members move.

Have a wonderful weekend, dear friend cat!

  6. Hmmm, I loved that big of blues. Thanks!

As for boxes, you struck a note with me there, too. I'm not a hoarder, but I can't see the point of buying new boxes every Christmas, either, so I "may" have saved a good-sized stack of them over the years. They come in quite handy, too. But I "may" have gone a bit overboard. When I was preparing to put away the box from one of the gifts I'd given my husband for his birthday, I realized my mother's handwriting was on the box. She's been dead for more than twenty-one years...

  7. I don't know why I feel the same way meowmomma, there is comfort in a store of empty boxes even though all the birds have flown the coop and we ain't goin' nowhere.
